Day 3: At The Deadline

I found that chiton.  I had left it in a vase on the mantle several months ago.  The vase is a pair of stylized ceramic bloomers. Then, I finished my French toast, wrestled with the boys and performed my Saturday chores. In preparation for Mother's Day I baked a cheesecake following Cymande's mother's sort-of-secret recipe (While I baked I listened to a local NPR call-in antique show. Just think of how difficult it is to assess antiques without actually seeing the item. Though it doesn't really matter because he tells most callers that their prized antique is utterly worthless).  The cake was supposed to be a surprise, but she was onto me early in the process. She is half-heartedly pretending it will be a surprise which is sweet. Later, we went to a baby shower for some co-workers. Moss and Giles discovered that girl's toys are different, but equally fun. Amongst the rubble and mess of their play you could find  a pile of naked Barbies. Finally, I got this blog out while nodding off at the desk.  Goodnight.
